Tyler Elliott -
Elliott was honored and grateful for everyone who voted for her when she found out she was nominated. Inside of school she’s involved in field hockey, basketballand unified track. Outside of school she participates in FCA and volunteers with the SYC challenger league. During this homecoming season, she hopes to gain something out of the experience. “One thing I hope to get out of being on homecoming court is to have some fun and to experience homecoming events like the pep rally and football game from a new perspective,” said Elliott. She is looking forward to all of the festivities leading up to homecoming such as spirit week, Powderpuff, and being in the student section for the homecoming game. Tina Dao -
In school Dao is a part of the tutoring and writing center, as well as a crew member in theater. As she is involved in a lot through Susquehannock, she is hoping to do more volunteer work at an animal shelter or library outside of school. When she was nominated for homecoming court, she was very surprised as she did not ask people to vote for her. She did not think about it too much because she did not think she would make it on. “It means a lot to be recognized by my peers as someone they view as enjoyable or that they like,” said Dao “It feels very sweet because everyone is so lovely, so to be with a bunch of other kind girls means a lot to me.” By this experience, she hopes to “...have fun and get to know the rest of the court a bit better before we graduate and go our separate ways.” Photograph courtesy of Tina Dao.

Keirsten Miller -
In school Miller is a part of Mini-THON club, yearbook and National Honor Society. Outside of school, she participates in a youth group and works at Giant. During this homecoming season she is looking forward to having a good time with your friends while attending the dance, along with all the preparations that will come with it. When she found out about the court, she had a similar reaction to everyone else. “I was shocked [when I found out] because it was something I did not expect,” said Miller. Isabelle Morrison -
From this experience, Morrison hopes to gain more friends and meet new people as she hopes they find her to be more approachable. In school she is involved with track and field, soccer, class vice president, student council, Mini-THON and National Honor Society. Outside of school, she volunteers at her church. “My reaction when I learned I was in court was shocked,” said Morrison. “I honestly have not talked about the court that much. I was surprised that people other than my friends voted for me.” She is excited for the homecoming dance as it is a way to bring the entire school together and have fun. Katlyn Krebs -
Through everything everyone has been through, Krebs is looking forward to having a somewhat normal homecoming and having different experiences this year since it was not normal last year. Krebs was surprised when she found out she was on court, but she was also very excited. She feels as if the group of girls all represent the 2022 class and school in a good way. “ It is honestly such an honor to be nominated for the homecoming court,” said Krebs “It makes me really happy that people in my class think of me as a good person to represent us.”. She hopes to share some good memories with a lot of her friends and to be a part of something that is really special for the school. Photograph courtesy of Katlyn Krebs.

Olivia Pasko -
As Pasko takes a look at the court as a whole, she feels as if she does not stand out since everyone is involved in their own activities. She believes that everyone has a chance to win, and it is all exciting to be a part of the school tradition. “ I feel super special to be nominated for homecoming court, and I’m super excited for all of the fun events that the student council has planned,” said Pasko. “I hope to have fun through this process.” One thing she is looking forward to during this homecoming is the fact that students do not have to wear a mask while attending the dance. When she found out she was nominated for homecoming court, she was honored that her peers voted for her in order to represent the class of 2022. During this homecoming season, she hopes to create new memories and have fun with friends as this is her last homecoming. She is excited for this dance as she looks “forward to having a homecoming this year since unfortunately we were unable to last year,” said Roeder. “This homecoming in particular, I am excited to see how the student council will organize a homecoming outside because we have never done that before. Megan Stiffler -
Inside of school Stiffler plays varsity field hockey, is student council president, and is a member of Mini-THON. Outside of school she plays club field hockey and works for tasteful occasions. She does not think she stands out from the rest of the girls, as they were all heavily involved through the high school and are well regarded students. “I was honestly surprised, I was not expecting much and I know that there are so many amazing girls in our grade so I would’ve been happy for any of them if they made it onto homecoming court,” said Stiffler. “ Being on homecoming court is an honor because it shows that you are well respected by your peers.” She is looking forward to having an actual homecoming dance this year since she is a part of the committee that plans and designs the homecoming dance, such as the theme and layout. Allison Flaherty -
While on court, Flaherty looks at everyone alongside her and believes that everyone deserves to be on court and fortunately, she gets to experience it with some of her classmates this homecoming season. In school she is involved with the soccer team, Mini- THON, Link Crew, Writing Center and the Tutoring Center. She is excited to have fun one last time with the entire school, as it is an event where everyone comes together as a whole. As she experiences this tradition from a new perspective, she is excited to be a part of the court and look back on it in the future. “ I think its a memorable experience that I have to always look back on and I think thats really valuable. It also gives me the opportunity to talk to different people and do things I normally dont get to, which is something to remember as well,” said Flaherty. Photograph courtesy of Allison Flaherty.

Amy Collins -
Collins believes that being nominated for homecoming court represents the sense of community within the school as she was very honored to be a part of the Susquehannock tradition. When she found out she made homecoming court, she was shocked and did not expect it. When looking at the other contestants, she feels as if they are all different in their own way. “I personally do not think there’s one specific thing that makes me stand out from the other contestants,” said Collins“We are all different with our own personalities and hobbies, and I think that it is cool in itself.” She is looking forward to being able to have a dance this year and continue with the normalcy of high school.
