Senior Alexa Viands is the Editor-in-Chief for the Courier and is a third-year staff member. Lex is looking forward to writing many different styles of articles, and to write as many articles as humanly possible on top of her other classes. She is involved in Varsity girls soccer as a starter, is a Nationally Registered EMT, participates in motocross and enjoys writing competitions outside of school. Alexa plans to aid in creating the best possible articles for publication and anticipates great successes from the reporters. Her advice to the newbies is to use proper quote formats and try not to make her fix their AP Style writing as she edits.
