The creation of a “nisin milkshake” was given to rats with tumors. The results showed that over 70% of the tumor cells were killed by the shake. No bacteria has been found that is resistant to nisin thus far; however, testing has only been done through animals. The next step is moving towards a clinical trial.

According to POPSUGAR, this drink “blends espresso with smoked butterscotch sauce and steamed milk and is topped off with smoky butterscotch sugar.” It is available to order between now through March 21, in participating stores. Along with the smoky drink, two smoky sandwiches have
been added to the list as well. The Spicy Chorizo, Monterey Jack and Egg Breakfast Sandwich and the Ancho-Chipotle Chicken Panini are available in stores across the US and Canada.
