Alabama officials are trying to redraw state maps upon a Supreme Court ruling. The revised map would be one introduced in 2023 by a Republican lawmaker that has the potential to turn two Democrat seats to Republican candidates through a redrawing of congressional maps. This would be done by splitting majority-African American districts. Protests occurred during the congressional meeting, arguing that redistricting as proposed is taken in an act of discrimination. Trump Administration Attempts to Block Minnesota Climate Change Lawsuit
A six-year-old lawsuit regarding climate change is being challenged by the Trump administration, according to the Associated Press. The lawsuit, brought on by Minnesota, alleges that four different oil and petroleum companies deceived consumers about the impacts of climate change. Trump’s administration claims that climate regulation is a responsibility of the federal government, not individual states. At least 15 other states have brought on similar climate lawsuits.

Claude Opus 4.6. The issues resulted in several car rental companies losing access to the software they needed to manage reservations. According to PocketOS founder Jeremy Crane, the high-end model, released about a week prior to the event, explicitly stated which guidelines it was bypassing to delete the data.
GameStop Offers to Purchase eBay for $55.5 Billion

More than 470 GameStop locations have closed in the past year, including one at the nearby TownMall of Westminster. The board of eBay is set to review the offer in the near future. If the acquisition goes through, GameStop intends to use their stores as an enhancement to eBay’s platform, even considering the potential for eBay to become “a legit competitor to Amazon.”
