A theatre filled with the sweet symphony of violins, the haunting eerie sounds of the bass, thrilling beats, fast tempos, and fast swinging of bows.
The SMS and SHS Orchestra hosted their Fall Concert on Wednesday, Oct. 22. Both ensembles performed the music they’ve been working on since the first day of school, with a big finale featuring both schools playing a piece together.
Orchestra director Andrew Jones directs the middle school band in playing their pieces before the Select Strings ensemble. At the beginning of the concert, the SMS Orchestra performed, playing three pieces of music: “Adventure on the High Seas,” “Asia Minor” and the “Sleeping Beauty Waltz.”
