Chaos and Panic: Theatre Prepares One Act Play

Sophomore Ella Miliauskas, junior Kaitlyn Staub, junior Isabella Quintillion, junior Alicia Baker and seniors Kiley Herzog and Ava Miliauskas watch the actors as they act out the “food critic” scene. Junior Charlie Schaffer co-wrote this story with Ella Milauskas. “[It took] about a week to write, and almost a year to edit by Ella,” Schaffer said. “There were many causes and sometimes when we solved one issue another one would pop up and It overall was a very busy year.”

A father’s Italian restaurant is a kitchen nightmare filled with chaos and panic. Will they be able to keep their doors open?

“On Top Of Spaghetti,” co-written by junior Charlie Schaffer and sophomore Ella Miliauskas, is the one-act play the theatre department will be performing on Jan. 29. The show will be held in the auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. There is no cost for admission. It is an entirely student-run production directed by seniors William Dumm, sophomore  Ava Miliauskas and senior Kylie Herzog.

The play follows a wacky Italian father and the chaos that ensues between him, his family and the family-run restaurant when he hears that Mr. Rico Rossi, an Italian food network and T.V. Critic is visiting his restaurant to judge his food.
