The Golden State Warriors just cemented themselves into the record books by being the third team in NBA history to start 39-4.

The Warriors are on pace to go 74-8 which would be the best record of all time.

The current record belongs to the Chicago Bulls who went 72-10 in 1995-1996 season.

The Golden State Warriors have knocked down juggernauts such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors.

They have been a team on a mission this year, trying to prove critics wrong when they doubt their ability. Many analysts and fans have said that their win over the Cavaliers in the finals was just a fluke and that they wouldn’t have won if the Cavaliers would have had all of their stars.

The Warriors beat the Cavaliers in both games they played this season. The first win was 89-63 on Christmas Day, and the second was on January 18 when they won 132-98 against a fully healthy Cavaliers team.

The Warriors beat a top tier team of the Eastern Conference against the Chicago Bulls with a score of 125-94.

Who’s to say that the Warriors won’t break the record and go 73-9 or better? Who’s to say that Stephen Curry doesn’t win his second straight MVP award?

Well, the history books sure wouldn’t argue it.

The year that the Chicago Bulls went 72-10 they won the Finals and Michael Jordan (their star) won the MVP.

The Warriors are on pace to break it since they have played 43 games and have only lost four.

Both of those teams to get that feat have won the NBA championship.

If history repeats itself, then Stephen Curry should win the MVP, and the Warriors should win the title. This Warriors team looks like  the best team this year, maybe even of all time.

The Warriors will probably go on to break the record of the Bulls due to their substantial amount of talent compared to their opponents.
