The iWatch is a Flop
March 26, 2015
Apple decided to announce the iWatch’s ridiculous cost which users will see in stores April 24.
On November 9, 2014, Apple released the plans to drop a smartwatch in the future, but nobody was expecting the ridiculous starting price for a gold iWatch, $17,000. The starting price for a regular iWatch goes for $399.99 US dollars.
The price, to begin with, is outlandish. To pay $400 for a watch that has the same features, if that, as any iPhone above the third generation with iOS 8 is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. The only feature you will find on the iWatch that is not on the phone is its heart rate monitor which gives you live information on your heart rate and blood pressure. Is that really worth a $400 investment? The answer is no.
Another downside to the iWatch is the very small screen size. For the regular watch, it lays 42mm in height and length. The sport edition even comes smaller with a 38mm size for running and working out. The small screen has said to be a difficult touch, especially the sport edition. The touch would be better used with a woman’s hand.
This whole iWatch situation is a waste of money. You are paying a lot of money just for another small iphone you put on your wrist. If you really have the need to put an apple device on your wrist, I suggest you purchase a used iPod Shuffle touch, grab some masking tape and tape that iPod to your wrist because it’s the same thing.
