Several team members have been able to speak about their accomplishments during the event. This event gave participants the chance to show off their skills that they have been honing. Sophomore Ian Bucalo made way during the mile run.
“The Ray Geesey Invitational was amazing [for me] personally,” Bucalo said. “It was my first time under 4 minutes 30 seconds in the mile. It was an extremely competitive race, and I am excited for more competition in the future.”
Other members of the track and field team have raced to victory, even some who haven’t been involved for that long.
Bucalo believes that the track team did well during this invitational.
“The track team as a whole did pretty solid,” Bucalo said. “…the track relay teams performed great….and [I heard we had] some PR’s (personal records) from lots of people.”
