The Student Council is excited to kick off a Tab Collection in support of the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that provides families with a place to stay while their children are receiving medical care at Hershey Hospital.
It started on March 3 and is going to run until the end of the school year.
Their key fundraising method involves collecting aluminum can tabs, which are recycled for money to help maintain the house’s facilities and services. The bins are located close to the cafeteria and commons area in addition to the envelopes in every teacher’s classroom.

To encourage participation, student council decided to organize it as a competition between the class years and staff to see who can collect the most tabs by weight. The first checkpoint will be Friday, May 16, and the goal is for each group to surpass this total in the first marking period of next school year.
The student council is excited to see the school community come together for this effort.
