New leadership for the film club aims to bring new projects and holiday fun.

President Gabe Wede is the leader of the club this year with new goals in mind for the 2024-25 school year.

¨This year we are taking a more hands-on approach, and we have many more projects planned for this year,¨ Wede said.¨Some of the goals for the film club this year are some holiday films we have planned, and a longer film project that will be later in the year.”

Junior Grady Gutridge is the vice president of the film club and has many aspirations as well.

¨My goal is to make as many videos as possible, and I have,” Gutridge said. “We don’t have an exact path. The main goal is to get as many people on the topic as we can. Instead of one big timeline, it’s more of the group working together and having fun.”

Wede has high expectations for students joining film club this year.

¨Pretty much don’t be on your phone,… be engaged in the club and act like you actually want to be there and participate,¨ Wede said.

Wede is tackling film club differently this year, ¨bringing in new approaches.¨

¨My approach is way more hands-on and way more working on the actual films and film planning,¨ Wede said.

With film club dealing a lot with your own ability and ideas, Wede enjoys all of the endless opportunities short films ¨have to bring.¨

“I like how creative you can get with short films and all the possibilities you have when making a short film,¨ Wede said.
