Spooktober’s Netflix Haunts and Saddens

By Lili Teal, Reporter

It’s a bitter-sweet month for Netflix lovers.

From new shows to removal of old movies, there are many changes to know about.

Netflix’s new shows include: Elite, Maniac, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Haunting of Hill House and a new season of Big Mouth

Elite is a Spanish suspense thriller about teens involved in a murder at a prep school.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is about a half-human, half-witch teenage girl based on the Archie comics.

Based on the novel by Shirley Jackson, The Haunting of Hill House brings the Halloween spirit.

Needless to say, there’s a little something added for everyone in the haunting month of October.

Movies have been added especially for the Halloween season as well.

Classics like Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, The Neverending Story and Blade I & II  were made available Oct. 1.

With the adding of new Netflix originals came the removal of content as well.

Shows on this list include Freaks and Geeks season 1 and 90210 seasons 1-5.

Movies being removed include cult classic Donnie Darko, Let Me In (which features Chloe Grace Moretz) and The Babadook.

These creepy films will be deeply missed after the spookiest month of the year.

Universal Pictures and Illumination studios movie The Secret Life of Pets will be removed as well.

Say hello to new content, and goodbye to the well-loved.
