Girls Lacrosse Making Their Run for the State Title

Susquehannock girls lacrosse started their run for the state title on May 29 with a commanding 17-6 victory against Danville in the first round of the state tournament.

This win sent the squad all the way up to State College where they faced Quaker Valley, the District 7 runner-up, in the quarterfinal of the PIAA State Championship.

Susquehannock was able to score eight goals in the first half and five goals in the second half of the match to boost them to a 13-8 win over Quaker Valley on June 2.

With this win in the Class 2A quarterfinals, the Warriors will now face their rivals, the Kennard-Dale Rams, in the semifinal match.

Kennard-Dale won their match on June 2 as well against Hershey.

This puts the two squads into a very familiar position, as this will be a replay of last season when the Rams and Warriors played against each other in the state semifinals.

Last year the Rams were able to come out on top and reach the state final; however, Susquehannock girls lacrosse is ready to counter to continue their run for the state title.

The Warriors will play next on Tuesday, 6/5 at Central York High School vs Kennard Dale at 6:00 pm in the PIAA State Semifinals.
