Girls Lacrosse Downs Wyomissing in District Semifinal

In last night’s District 3 Class 2A’s girls lacrosse match, the warriors were able to pull out a 13-10 semi final victory against Wyomissing.

The game started off with Wyomissing, leading 3-1 with them scoring on their first three shots of the match.

However, the Warriors were quickly able to come back and dominate with an 8-5 score going into the second half.

Scoring came from senior Emma Stiffler (2), sophomore Kalen Hancock (2), junior Maggie Howells (2), senior Harley Mummert, and freshman Ariana Prediger.

In the second half, the third quarter came to a close with the Warriors having a commanding lead of 11-6.

In the last quarter of the game, Wyomissing slowly started to creep back into the game with 3 consecutive goals.

The score was now 13-10 with about 4 minutes left to play.

The Warriors were able to hold the Wyomissing girls lacrosse team off and finish the game with a score of 13-10.

Goals in the second half came from senior Riley Roeder, Stiffler (2), Mummert, and Prediger.

Stiffler recorded a team high 4 goals with 1 assist.

The Warriors will now return to the District 3 2A championships for their second year in a row.

The returning champs will face Hershey on Thursday at Lower Dauphin Middle School in the hopes to bring home another district title.
