Coats of Friendship Keep People Warm

By Emma Lonas, Social Media Editor

A group of students at Friendship Elementary School collected gently used coats and winter accessories to be distributed to those in need over the fall and winter.

These students lead a nonprofit organization known as “Coats of Friendship” where the items they collect are donated to local community organizations such as LifePath Christian Ministries and Family First Health.

Drop offs are done throughout the year but one of their main distributing times is during the weekend of Thanksgiving.

Many organizations benefit from these drop offs and have been supported by Coats of Friendship since 2015.

More organizations in the community have gained an increased interest for the cause since then and have become more involved.

Over the past few years, Coats of Friendship has touched many people in the community and will continue to do so.
