The competition was held at the J. Birney Crum stadium in Allentown. All the best bands from 152 different schools came out and participated.

Freshman Anna Joy said that the band held gruesome practices in order to come through with that big win. “We had two practices a week for three hours and every Saturday for four hours unless we had a competition,” said Joy.

Joy also went on to say that once they won the competition, “everyone agrees it was the best feeling in the world. Everyone screamed, cried, and hugged.”

Sophomore Kelvin Argueta-Perez also said that night was one of the greatest feelings ever when they won.

“The championships went beyond amazing, my favorite moment was when I realized we won, and they gave us the trophy!” said Argueta-Perez.

Both Argueta-Perez and Joy said that even though the band experienced some technical difficulties with the sound, the band didn’t get thrown off, and the competition was still a success.

Not to mention, Freshman DJ Rohrbaugh said that it “was probably one of the most fun nights I’ve ever had. I was so happy, but depressed because it was over. I have to wait for next August to feel that kind of happiness again. I want to say thanks to the parents and staff for all their hard work and support throughout the season, without them the show would not have been that great and we would not have been able to get the four foot+ trophy that we get to keep for a whole year,” said Rohrbaugh.
