The Warriors led the Western conference with a record of 49-12 ten games from the second seed. The Phoenix Suns trail in the Western conference 33-32.

The Suns stood their ground in the first half until their key player, young Brandon Knight, sustained a severe leg injury which took him out of the game.

After the injury, the Warriors took full control of the game. The leading scorer Stephen Curry led the game in points with a total of 36 and dropped even three-point bombs on the Suns. The Suns tried to prove that they weren’t down and out. Their leading scorer, Eric Bledsoe, led the Suns with a tremendous 19 points, but that wasn’t enough to hold off the leaders of the West. The Suns could not defend the Splash Brothers Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry who combined for a total of 61 points and their eleven three pointers.

The Warriors went on to win the game with the score of 98 to 80, beating the Knight-less Phoenix Suns. The Warriors went on to get their 50th win of the season and still remain the best in the West.
