When searching for a dress, there are a couple of options: surfing the web for that perfect dress or going store to store to find the one that fits.

Looking online, there are a few go-to sites to shop at, and  Nordstrom’s website is one of them. It’s a great place to start if you’re searching for places to buy prom dresses. They have a helpful prom guide that allows you to shop the dresses and particular trends. Girls can even add the finishing touches such as shoes and accessories. It’s pretty much your one-stop-shop for all your prom outfit needs.

The next place to shop online is ASOS.com, which is a online store where different styles of dresses can be bought. You’ll find a range of fashion items and accessories to suit a variety of styles and budgets. The store has a large section of party and formal dresses. Dresses also come at reasonable prices. The only downside is not being able to try the dresses on, but the sizing guides and returns policy is helpful.

The next most visited site that girls shop at is the trusty EBAY. If they know what they are looking for, EBAY can be a time saver. By shopping here, girls can pinpoint a dress and order it right away. Although it’s quick, make sure to give time for shipping. EBAY also has a variety of accessories and nick-knacks for prom shopping.

If shopping online doesn’t suit or isn’t an option, certain stores will most likely have the dress that girls have been looking for.

Senior Caitlyn Calcut thinks shopping in stores is much better than online.

“Shopping in stores is much easier because dresses come in different sizes and styles, and they all fit differently,” said Calcut.

If a Deb is local, this store has a beautiful variety of dresses. The selection is endless, and it also has unique and different styles that most stores don’t. Not only is the selection big, the prices are wallet-friendly. Compared to other stores, the prices are fairly priced and made well.

Macy’s is also a reliable store when shopping for prom dresses. Although they may not have as big of a selection as Deb, it still has different colors and styles that are well made with very reasonable prices.

Compared to Deb, David’s Bridal is equal in styles and quantity, but David’s Bridal has much more selection for color and fanciness. From short homecoming dresses to formal wedding dresses, this store has anything that can be thought of.

Senior Rebecca Toy likes to shop in places like Debb and David’s Bridal.

“I prefer to shop in the stores because I never know how the dress is going to fit me,” said Toy.

No matter where, the prices to all the stores vary, as well as the styles and colors. Finding that “perfect” dress isn’t easy, but it helps to have a logical process.
