The news staff from last year, determined to have an open link to The Courier website, spoke in front of the school board and succeeded in their relentless pursuit to give The Courier a public link, instead of having to access Lettergrade to see the website. With this open link, anyone and everyone with a computer that has access to the World Wide Web can view and read The Courier.

Senior Abigail Bentz has taken over  as Editor in Chief and is very excited to be in charge.

“I am expecting a lot of fresh ideas,” said Bentz. “A lot more resources have become accessible to the [Courier] program this year when compared to last year, and I think the staff this year is excited to take advantage.”

The Courier is now on Twitter using the handle @SuskyCourier, along with the new public link,  www.shscourier.com, the Courier news and posts will be much easier to access for students and parents alike.

“Our goal is to establish the Courier so that it is the ‘go to’ news source for students and the community,” said Bentz. “[Twitter and our open link] should help us focus more on our audience with immediate news.”

Kerrie Defelice, a senior reporter in her first year with the Courier, is very excited to be a part of the team.

“I think this is a great opportunity to help my resumé for college,” said Defelice. “I would definitely recommend it to anyone; you should take this class and get involved with as much as you can.”

You can access the Courier website 24 hours a day at www.shscourier.com.
