Attendance Procedures For Digital Academy Students
Students’ attendance will be taken based on academic progress within the Edgenuity platform in Digital Academy.
- Teachers will review students’ progress on a weekly basis.
- Students will have Monday- Sunday to complete assignments for each day.
- Logging in is NOT being tracked, completed assignments ARE being tracked.
- Weekend work is ALWAYS accepted.
- Students failing to complete required assignments for a given day will be considered absent, if their progress indicates they are “behind”.
- Students that demonstrate adequate progress in the course and are “on track” will not be considered absent.
In summary, if a student is making adequate progress and not falling behind in any course, the student will be considered “present”. If a student is falling behind and not doing work on a daily basis, the student will be considered “absent”.
Please reach out to Mrs. Sherman, your Digital Academy teacher, or Mrs. Shick if you have any questions.
