  • Students should be in the building to be marked present on their group A or B day.
  • Attendance on virtual days for the A group (W, Th, Fr) or for the B group (M, T, W) will be based on the following:

* Students are required to complete assignments via google classroom or another means while working at home during virtual days.

* Assignments must be completed prior to coming to school on their group A or B day.

* Students not completing the work on their virtual days will be marked absent.

Attendance Procedures For Digital Academy Students

Students’ attendance will be taken based on academic progress within the Edgenuity platform in Digital Academy.

  • Teachers will review students’ progress on a weekly basis.
  • Students will have Monday- Sunday to complete assignments for each day.
  • Logging in is NOT being tracked, completed assignments ARE being tracked.
  • Weekend work is ALWAYS accepted.
  • Students failing to complete required assignments for a given day will be considered absent, if their progress indicates they are “behind”.
  • Students that demonstrate adequate progress in the course and are “on track” will not be considered absent.

In summary, if a student is making adequate progress and not falling behind in any course, the student will be considered “present”. If a student is falling behind and not doing work on a daily basis, the student will be considered “absent”.

Please reach out to Mrs. Sherman, your Digital Academy teacher, or Mrs. Shick if you have any questions.
