SMS PTSO NEWS

Welcome Back Southern Families,

      What an interesting six months it has been! The PTSO thanks all families that were patient with the middle school dance refunds at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. We wish we could’ve held the dance, but we were still able to donate pet supplies to the Animal Rescue, Inc. that were brought in prior to closing, so thank you!

      Our first PTSO meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30 PM in the library.  Please note, masks are required. I would like to thank Kelley Fisher for volunteering as Treasurer, and Stephanie Lawson for volunteering as Secretary for the 2020-2021 school year.

       The PTSO, while slightly different than the elementary level, works hard to provide for SMS staff and students.  Although many of our events, field trips, and activities are unfortunately on hold, we will still be working to safely raise funds to provide scholarships for our seniors.  Be on the lookout for information to come home in September for our Fall No-Contact fundraiser.

       We hope to see you at a PTSO meeting. Have a safe and fun September!
