SMS HEALTH SUITE INFORMATION

January 27, 2020

  • Parents, cold and flu season is in full swing at this time.  If your child has a fever today, s/he should not be at school tomorrow.  If you have to give Tylenol or Motrin for a fever today, then s/he should stay home from school tomorrow.  A fever reduced with medicine will return during the school day and you will need to pick up your child. Students should be fever-free for 24 hours without using medication before returning to school.
  • If you have to give them Tylenol or Motrin in the morning before school “to get them through the day”, then s/he should not go to school.
  • If your child has vomiting/diarrhea today, then s/he should not be at school tomorrow.  Your child needs to be 24 hours free of vomiting/diarrhea before returning to school.
  • Please do not send your sick, still-recovering-from-illness child to school to infect the healthy students and staff.
