Blood Drive Comes to Susquehannock

By Blake Ramey

The health office will host a blood drive on Wednesday,  Nov. 13.

Donating blood helps patients of all ages and types, including accident victims, burn victims, heart surgery patients, organ surgery patients and cancer patients.

In fact, according to the Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.

The health office encourages students and staff  to donate blood or help out with the blood drive.

If any students are interested in donating blood, talk to your teachers or nurse Melinda Landis.

Donation times run from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., but the blood drive will be set up until 2:00 p.m.

The blood drive will be in the auxiliary gym.

If you would like to schedule your life saving donation, contact Landis at [email protected]

To save 15 minutes during your donation, please consider utilizing RapidPass at www.redcrossblood.org/rapidpass

Landis currently has 19 spots open as of now, so feel free to sign up; however, you must be 16 years of age or older to participate.
