The 2019-2020 Warrior boys basketball season is starting with tryouts on Monday, Nov. 18 and Tuesday, Nov. 19.

According to head coach Andy Shelow, their first game will take place at Susquehannock on Dec. 6 against the South-West Mustangs.

¨We have 3 weeks to prepare, 15 practices and 2 scrimmages,” said Shelow.

Senior Jake Eden thinks the season is going to go far this year.

¨I think we have a legitimate shot to go to districts for the first time in 15 years,̈ said Eden.

If the Warriors manage to qualify for the district tournament, this would make school history.

Assistant coach and social studies teacher Frank Posner is excited for the season.

“When you see kids putting in the work and taking ownership, you’re just excited to see that come together,̈ said Posner.

Even before the season starts, the athletes are working  to be the best players they can be for the upcoming season

Junior Michael Staub sees teamwork as essential.

̈Teamwork will be the key to our success this year for sure,̈ said Staub.
