Boys Cross Country Qualifies for States

The boys cross country team made history, finishing third at the District 3 meet, and are on their way to states.

Freshman Matt O’ Brien ran 16 minutes 45 seconds in an astonishing performance. 

The Warriors came in as an underdog against Wyomissing Area and ended up grabbing a win by 36 points.

This is the first time in school history that the Warriors are bringing an all boys team to the state championships. 

On the Warriors’s team, there are 7 members who are running in the state meet. 

Runners include: freshman Matt O’Brien, sophomore Nathaniel Coggins and  juniors Jacob Derkosh, Sam Pugliese, Michael Fisher, and Declan Wilson. Senior Mateo Vega is in his fourth year of cross country. 

The Warriors travel to Hershey on Saturday, Nov. 2, and the boys run at 12:30 p.m.
