1. Curly Strings
Estonian band Curly Strings matches both American and Southern sounds; it is great new grass music that speaks about life in Estonia. The ensemble has four good friends: violinist Eeva Talsi, mandolin player Villu Talsi, guitarist Jaan Jaago and double bass player Taavet Niller. They started their work in 2011.

2. Arvo Pärt
Arvo Pärt is an Estonian composer of classical and religious music. He composed his early works using a range of neo-classical styles. He is famous all over the world. Pärt has been the most performed living composer in the world for seven consecutive years. Of Pärt’s popularity, American composer Steve Reich has commended him. “Even in Estonia, Arvo was getting the same feeling that we were all getting…,” said Reich. “I love his music, and I love the fact that he is such a brave, talented man … He’s completely out of step with the zeitgeist, and yet he’s enormously popular, which is so inspiring. His music fulfills a deep human need that has nothing to do with fashion.”

3. Karl-Erik Taukar
Karl-Erik Taukar is 30-year-old Estonian pop singer. He writes his own music. He has had two albums, named “Kaks” and “Vääramatu jõud.” His career started in 2011 when he won a TV show called “ Estonia is looking for Talent.”

4. Kerli Kõiv
Kerli is a 32-year-old Estonian singer and songwriter. Her music is pop, alternative rock, electronic, dance-pop and gothic. Her career began in 2002 when she won a big song contest called Fizz Superstar. She was and still is famous all over the world. She also wrote the song “Skyscraper” and gave it to be recorded by American musician Demi Lovato for her album “Unbroken.”
