SMS MathCounts Competition Held

The MathCounts club traveled to York College on Tuesday, January 15th to compete in the York County Invitational MathCounts Tournament. The MathCounts club is made up of the following students :
Andrew Hetzer, Matthew O’Brien, Robert Rosul, Ian Rosul, Caroline Dumm, and Mackenzie Dryden
The team (Andrew Hetzer, Matthew O’Brien, Robert Rosul, and Ian Rosul) placed 2nd out of 41 York County teams. Matt O’Brien placed 3rd overall out of 155 students. Andrew Hetzer was the 2nd highest 7th grade finisher, he finished 11th overall.
Andrew Hetzer, Robert Rosul, Ian Rosul, and Mackenzie Dryden will compete at the Regional Tournament on February 23rd at Millersville University.
