Southern York County School District Recycles

As a school community we strive to have environmentally-friendly practices in place, whenever possible. Some of these practices include reducing mailing and printed correspondence by sending items electronically and recycling.

We have a program in place to recycle the following materials in classrooms and offices: aluminum and steel cans, glass food and beverage containers, plastic, paper, paperboard, cardboard, & food and beverage cartons. Please see the flyers below for additional specifics.  In addition, our food service departments also recycle glass, plastic, aluminum and steel cans, and cardboard.

How can you help? One way that you may be able to help is to encourage your family to recycle at home.  If there is a process of recycling used at home, we are able to build on that at school with our recycling efforts. Even our youngest students are able to help in this important cause.
