Central PA Scholastic Arts & Writing Competition

Southern Middle School 7th grader, Bea Ricafort, submitted her writing to the Central Pennsylvania Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition. The nationally recognized program awards students for their creative excellence in 28 different categories. The categories range from poetry to journalism, and painting to comic art. Students in grades 7-12 from the surrounding counties are eligible to showcase their talents and have their entries judged by area artistic and literary professionals. Bea won a gold key for her poetry entitled, “Notes borrowed from Thoughtless” and an honorable mention for her dramatic script entitled “To the Dungeons!”.
