Susquehannock Athletes Receive Honors for 2017 Spring Sports Season

Six Susquehannock athletes and one coach were recently honored for their outstanding performances during the 2017 spring sports season.

The following Susquehannock athletes were selected for GameTime PA’s YAIAA First Team All-Stars:  girls lacrosse – sophomores Kenna Hancock and Sam McGuire, and seniors Rachel Marshner and Gena Speights; baseball – junior Hunter Sentz; and boys lacrosse – junior Adam Rebich.

Both Rachel Marshner and Gena Speights were selected as 2017 US Lacrosse Girls High School All-Americans. They were two of only ten players chosen from the Pennsylvania – Central region to receive this honor.

Varsity girls lacrosse coach Steve Marshner was named the US Lacrosse Coach of the Year for 2017 for the Pennsylvania – Central region. The girls lacrosse team won its first ever District 3 championship title and advanced to the semi-final round of the PIAA State Championships. This was the first state tournament appearance for the girls lacrosse team in school history.
