Alternate Homecoming Plans

Freshman DJ Rohrbaugh and sophomore Gillian Smyth attended an anti-homecoming party.

Many students spent a “Night Beneath the Waves” at homecoming on Saturday, October 15. However, there were also several people who choose to stay home or go out with friends.

Some students were asked what they did instead of going to homecoming, and here are their responses:

“I took my much needed time off to rest and send out college applications,” said senior Gabee Ogude.

“I worked the night of homecoming. It was busy,” said senior Taylor Kopp.

“I hung out with another person who didn’t go to homecoming and I ate lasagna,” said senior Sharon Nelson.

“I went to a party,” said junior Allie Blackwell.

“We went to Olive Garden, and it was a group of 8 of us, and then we went back to my house. We straightened DJ Rohrbaugh’s hair,” said junior Becca Martin.

“I went out to dinner with my friends. We talked about how we are going to communicate when we are in college,” said senior Zach Robinson.

“I stayed home and watched Disney movies,” said senior Isabel Barbara.

“I played on my [Nintendo] DS,” said senior Alix Ullery.

“I did homework,” said sophomore Jordan Futrell.

“I worked on my college applications,” said senior Jessica McDonald.
