Get Real Day, the annual event that brings students together during a day of breaking down boundaries, began its run at Susky on Wednesday, March 9. The program, designed by the Jewish Community Center, was created to foster a sense of acceptance and understanding within local high schools. To help students connect with each other, juniors and seniors trained to become peer leaders to make the sophomores feel comfortable sharing. The course was sponsored by Aevidum and is a favorite among many students, many of whom come back to the program as leaders. Get Real Day will return on March 17 and 21 to reach the rest of the sophomore class.
