Golden State Goes Undefeated
December 4, 2015
The Golden State Warriors are putting their spot in the NBA’s history books, starting off the season 20-0.
Warrior fans had high hopes for their champions and were ready to see how their champions would start the new season. The Warriors won their first game as Stephen Curry dropped 40 points in the season opener. Curry’s performance showed everyone that the MVP is back for another season of excitement and dubs.
As the Warriors kept winning games and reached 10-0, the team started to raise some eyebrows around the league. The start made people wonder if the Warriors were going to beat the all-time NBA record of the best starts of the season. The recent record holders were the 48-49 Washington Capitals, which started the league going 15-0. The Warriors grabbed their 15th win against the Denver Nuggets which tied the record for the best start. Fans were one win away from witnessing their Warriors make history.
The Warriors broke the record by beating the LA Lakers, 111-77, which pushed their record to 16-0. Fans thought the Warriors were only winning so much because they had an easy opening schedule.
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal stated his opinion on the Warrior’s success on a program on NBA TV.
“They are [a] dominant team. They have all assets of a team, and use it well,” said O’Neal.
The Warriors have improved their record to 20-0, becoming the best team in the NBA with the best start in NBA history.
The champions are really showing the world the reason they won the title last season. Showing us their run and gun style and unbelievable three point shot makes the team unstoppable. Fans are worrying when the streak will end and when the Warriors will take their first loss.
