This week’s app of the week is the  addictive game Smashy Road: Wanted.

This game has been at the top of the App store since the game was released in late July. The game is about a runaway car being chased down by the police. The controls are very simple and easy to master. To turn right, you simply push your thumb on the right side of the screen and vice versa for left turns. Starting the game, you are just a normal truck driver going down a long highway until your finger touches the screen which releases the police.

The farther you drive your vehicle, the more stars you collect. The more stars means the amount of authority increases. There is the typical cop car and then there are SWAT, Army jeeps, Army tanks, and even police helicopters. To escape the police, you have to dodge them with quick turns and go into secret areas to lose the police. Once the police find you, they have to get you to come to a full stop before you are announced as BUSTED.

This game has gone through two updates in the past four months. The first update really only focused on bug fixes and updating vehicles. The update also allowed you to change the background music before you play the game. This update also added the ability to go in reverse which makes it even easier not to get caught. The newest update took place in early October which added 30 new vehicles to the game. The new vehicles give you a wider variety of what getaway car you want to use during your pursuit.

This game has been at the top of the charts in the App store for a while now. This game has 9,607 reviews with the lowest review being 4.5 stars. The game is a very fun experience to have on your phone whenever you feel like being in a hot pursuit. I recommend this game because of the entertainment it brings to your phone or tablet.
