After nearly 13 years, the “Avatar” franchise is now making its return to the cinema with its $2.32 billion second installment, “Avatar: The Way of Water”

On December 18, 2009, the first “Avatar” movie was released. Director James Cameron implemented his visionary storytelling and groundbreaking use of technology, to create a cinematic masterpiece. Avatar became the top grossing movie of all time, making around $3 billion.

This new CGI masterpiece will be sure to give you an experience to escape reality, especially if you choose to see the production in theaters.

Just like the first movie, the film was directed and produced by James Cameron.

The story takes place 16 years after the Na’vi stopped the RDA invasion of Pandora.

In the movie, infamous Jake Sully lives as chief of the Omatikaya clan and raises a family with Neytiri, which includes sons Neteyam and Lo’ak, daughter Tuk and adopted child Kiri.

Led by their new leader Frances Ardmore, the RDA returns to colonize Pandora, as Earth is slowly dying.

One of the main antagonists of the first movie, Quaritch, played by Stephen Lang, returns as a recombinant, serving as the leader of the recombinant operation.“Avatar:

The Way of Water” is a sequel that you would kind of expect coming from James Cameron because of his history with visual storytelling. Cameron has made films such as “Terminator,” “Titanic” and others.

The majority of fans like this film as the the 7.7 rating on IMDb also suggests, it is also the kind of production that draws you in and makes you want to be in the movie.

It is 3 hours and 12 minutes long so I can understand why it is the kind of movie that you need to be in a specific mood to watch. The plot is so unique because the movie appropriates Native American Culture. I would give “Avatar: The Way of Water” 4 feathers out of 5. Because it really picks up from the first move and satisfies that “ what is going to

happen next feeling” the only downside is the 3 hour 12 minute length.
