Boys Basketball Team Takes their Shot in Playoffs

February 24, 2022

The  boys basketball team earned their way to the playoff games this year.

On Monday, Feb. 21, the boys won in their first round of district playoffs against Palmyra at Palmyra’s home court, 62-58.

Junior shooting guard Chase Robert is ready.

“Getting the chance to play in the off season is always an honor,” Robert said. “The team has been putting in the work to get here, and we are excited to keep playing.”

After taking the win on Monday, the boys team earned a spot in the PIAA state tournament.

This will be the first time since 2005 for the Warrior boys basketball team to make it to the state games.

Senior Zach Pecunes knows communication will be key to achieve a win.

“Going into the game we obviously want to win,” Pecunes said. “When we work as a team and play our game, we can make it happen. We just have to be in it to win it.”

Junior Josh Franklin sees the whole team’s desire to win.

“At practice, we are all focused on working our hardest and preparing,” Franklin said. “You can tell everyone really wants it.”

Their next round of districts will be on Thursday Feb. 24 at Hershey High School, beginning at 7:00 PM.

Tickets will cost $6.00 dollars.
