SHS Students Compete in State Computer Fair; David Gallegos Places Second

Two Susquehannock High School students participated in the state competition of the Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair and one student placed second in his category.
Senior David Gallegos and junior Kylie Taylor qualified for the state competition at Dickinson College after placing first at the regional competition in their individual categories.
“I am pleased to announce that David won second in the state for his Pennsylvania Computer Fair design,” said Susquehannock High School art teacher Wade Bowers. “He combined the state animal, the whitetail deer with computer elements.”
Taylor qualified for the state competition after earning first place during the regional competition in the Graphic Design category. She created a logo, brochure, and marketing materials for this year’s theme of a fictitious pet related business.
The regional and state competitions included categories of Animation, Computer Fair Logo, Digital Movie, Graphic Design, Programming, and Web Page Design.
