Susan Green Appointed as Chief Financial and Operations Officer

The Southern York County School District Board of Education approved Susan M. Green, Business Manager, as the new Chief Financial and Operations Officer, beginning July 1, 2016.

Current Chief Financial and Operations Officer, Dr. Wayne McCullough will retire at the conclusion of the current school year. He will continue to serve as Executive Director of the SYCSD Foundation and serve on the Susquehannock High School Alumni Association’s Steering Committee.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Green brings several years of school district business experience to her new role. She has served as the District’s Business Manager for the past nine years.

“I am honored to be trusted with this important role,” Green said. “Southern York County School District is a very special place and I am proud to be a part of the District.”

Prior to her role at SYCSD, Green served as Business Manager for the Hanover Public School District, and previously served as a manager for a firm in Harrisburg, where she specialized in governmental financial audits.

“We are thrilled to have Susan’s knowledge, passion, and dedication in this position,” Superintendent Dr. Sandra Lemmon said.

Green earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accountancy from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
