Melissa Lynch to Play Collegiate Soccer

Melissa Lynch, a Susquehannock High School senior, recently committed to play Division III soccer for Rosemont College in Rosemont, Pa. While at Rosemont College, Lynch plans to major in Graphic Design. She eventually hopes to focus on business and work for a corporation.

While at Susquehannock, Lynch lettered all four years in soccer and served as captain the last two years. In 2014, the team won the York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division II County Championship and she was named to York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division II First Team All-Stars.

She also earned the District III E. Jerry Brooks Academic Award. To be eligible for this award, student athletes must have a minimum 3.8 Grade Point Average, possess good citizenship and sportsmanship, compete in a minimum of two different sports, and earn at least three varsity letters. Lynch served as manager for the boys’ basketball team for three years and also lettered in track and field for three years. In addition, she was also a member of the National Honor Society.
