Susquehannock High School Graduates 234 Students for the Class of 2015

Susquehannock High School’s Class of 2015 marched before a packed stadium during the school’s 64th annual commencement exercises on June 5, 2015 at the Robert E. Lau Memorial Field. With a total of 234 graduating seniors, 128 scholarship winners were recognized, earning 250 scholarships and awards. The total amount of scholarships awarded to students was $2.8 million.
Dr. Sandra Lemmon, Superintendent of the Southern York County School District and Robert Schefter, School Board President, awarded the diplomas. Abigail Bentz, Senior Class Vice President gave the welcoming speech and Alexis Anelli, Senior Class President, provided the closing remarks.
Valedictorian/Senior Class Treasurer Anthony Iannuzzi and Salutatorian/Senior Class Secretary Amie Larum both presented orations.
In addition, B. Joy Keller-Brown, this year’s recipient of the Susquehannock High School Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award, also addressed the Class of 2015 during commencement services.
“Southern School District gave you the wind beneath your wings; this is the Southern Way,” she said while reminding the Class of 2015 that no matter where they go in life or what they do, it is important to “find your way back home.”
Keller-Brown, a 1974 Susquehannock graduate, was nominated for this honor by fellow alumni and selected by the Alumni Council.
