Susquehannock High School, along with Southern Elementary and Shrewsbury Elementary, were awarded the Award of Excellence in Academics by Governor Tom Corbett.

Corbett commended the three schools for attaining a score of a 90% or higher  for the 2012-2013 school performance profile.

The governor attended a short ceremony in the administration building during the day. Teachers from the various school were in attendance to receive the award. Math teacher Chris Newland, along with Math teacher Tim Scripko, attended the event.   Senior Class Officers of the Class of 2014 attended as well.
