‘Finding Your Future’ Takes Over SHS

October 21, 2019

Preparing for after high school may be exhausting,  which is why the counseling department has set up a ‘Finding Your Future’ program for students to figure out classes to take before entering their high school career.

Counselor  Matthew Shervington is a part of the group preparing for the upcoming program.

“The counselors will speak to students and parents about different professions that are available in York County that are continuing to grow,” said Shervington. “[They will] speak to what curriculum we have, what classes we offer, what activities we offer and how they relate to giving students a foundation towards those carers.”

This program is beneficial to eighth and ninth grade students, giving a

rundown on what classes to take based on certain professions.

This event is free to attend and will take place Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
