Workaholics work it

The fourth season of the god among men of shows, Workaholics, premiered on Comedy Central Wednesday, January 16th.

The season opener for the show directed by Kyle Newacheck, “Booger Nights”, was a hilarious start to a very anticipated first episode of the new season. In the episode, the gang including Adam (Adam Devine), Blake (Blake Anderson), and Anders (Anders Holm), walk to their cubicle to find it stuffed with packing peanuts. Then, out of nowhere pops out Bradley, the guys’ boss’s brother who was featured in a past episode from season three. He is in town to write a crime novel.

After the prank, the gang heads to the break room where they catch wind of a possible office roast at their workplace, Telamericorp.

The gang is shocked when they are not invited, because they think they are the funniest guys in the place. Their boss Alice disagrees, claiming that none of them have ever said anything remotely funny since they have started working there.

After begging to go, Alice allows the three to join in the roast. In order to get an upper hand, the three guys decide to follow the roastee, Bill to see what he does daily that they can make fun of.

To their surprise, they find out that he has some unusual hobbies, including dressing up like a robot for public entertainment and trying to steal sandwiches from the local sandwich shop.

Eventually the guys confess to following him and Bill proceeds to tell them how he hates the idea of a roast, especially from fellow co-worker Montez. So, Adam, Blake, and Ders decide to help Bill by playing a major prank on the rest of the office.
Their “genius” plot is for Bill to bring a gun to work and hold up the office during the roast. Bill decides that he will let everyone go, after Montez eats one booger from every employee present. Everything seems to be going well until SWAT arrives and threatens to arrest everyone.
Bradley takes the helmet off revealing that he pranked everybody again, after he got SWAT to follow him to the office. Alice also reveals that she knew the whole time, because Bill called her ahead of time to make sure it was ok. In the end the guys learn nothing and the episode ends.
It would be wise for one to keep an eye for the following Wednesdays in which new episodes will be airing weekly.

For those curious as to what the shows pertains to in modern society, it is basically everything. The show originated from an internet viral video group called Mail Order Comedy, which had the same three guys. Eventually they were consulted by Comedy Central about starting a TV show. They were told not to change a thing, so their YouTube videos were basically put on TV.

It is not appropriate for the younger viewers considering it tends to be raunchy, with dirty talk, and inappropriate/illegal activities. It is a comedy so it is very humorous, with many jokes pertaining to modern issues, such as bad economy, and just getting by while having fun.
If this show were to be aimed at a certain group, it would definitely be toward the upper classmen of high school and college guys because it relates a lot to what happens in the crazy guys life nowadays.
