There is a certain population of female teens that have begun a new twitter trend, #CuttingForBieber, as seen on twitter.com/#cuttingforbieber, after pictures were released of Justin Bieber supposedly smoking marijuana.
First reaction- are you kidding me?   Not only are these people cutting themselves and risking their lives, but they are doing it because a singer did drugs… really? This is the reality of the “Hollywood lifestyle” for many stars.
Sure, I understand that a lot of girls are pretty obsessed with Bieber, but cutting one’s self in protest is just asinine.
These girls, and probably some guys, are risking their lives because the angel who they thought Justin Bieber was isn’t quite as pure as some may have thought. Yes, it is Beiber’s fault for smoking said drug and letting the pictures be released, especially considering he was with the guy who took them, but when something so small and uncommon for celebrities these days causes people to cut themselves, it begins to reveal it might not be Bieber’s fault; these people just have immature and ridiculous reactions to other people’s lives that have idea of their existence- nor their sacrifice in this instance.
What these individuals don’t realize is they are damaging  themselves for absolutely no reason. Cutting one’s wrist can not only cause nerve damage and scars, but can also be deadly.

With one miss, the main artery in the wrist can be cut, and they’re dead.
One would think Beliebers nowadays would be a little more practical in their troubleshooting solutions, but apparently not. Now, I’m sure eleven and twelve year old girls weren’t the ones who found this to be the best form of protest, which leads me to believe the people who did this are merely insane, manipulating a very impressionable population.
These fanatics should be placed in a mental institution so they can get help.
