The Susquehannock High School golf team was recently named York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division II Champions. They also finished in second place in the league at the YAIAA team tournament on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

The Warriors finished first in YAIAA Division II at Honey Run Golf Course in York, PA with a total score of 336.  Dover High School, York Suburban High School, Eastern York High School, and West York Area High School rounded out the top five teams in the competition.

Only two golfers in the tournament broke 80. Dover High School’s Logan Snyder scored a 70 and took first place. Susquehannock’s Kendel Abrams scored a 78 earning the second lowest score. The Warriors finished their championship season 42-0.

Southern York County School District athletic director Brad Keeney commended the team on their championship. “We couldn’t be more proud of the effort and dedication these young men and women put into this outstanding accomplishment,” said Keeney. “The Warrior golf team continues to represent Susquehannock High School with class and integrity,” he said.

The Warriors competed in the YAIAA Team Championship on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Briarwood East Golf Course in York, PA. They earned second place with a score of 337. Kendel Abrams, Spencer Beran, Andrew Roberts, Greyson Daviau, Brody Cain, and Tucker Stoll represented Susquehannock in the competition. Abrams tied for fourth place overall with a score of 78.

Kendel Abrams, Spencer Beran and Andrew Roberts have qualified to compete in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) District III Golf Championship. The tournament will take place beginning October 4 through October 7, 2017 at Briarwood Golf Course.
