Warrior Proud of Susquehannock Athletes at District Championships

Congratulations to the Warrior girls basketball team for their historical District III Championship win on Saturday, March 4, 2017.  They won 44-42 over Harrisburg High School.  The Warriors move on to the PIAA state tournament.  On Saturday, March 11, they will play Randor High School at West York High School, 1800 Bannister St, York, PA at 5:00 pm.  Tickets will be sold beginning Tuesday, March 7 through Friday, March 10 in the Susquehannock High School office between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Presale tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.  All tickets are $6 at the door. 

The Warrior swim team also had a successful weekend at the District III Championships meet:

  • Katlyn Baer broke the school record in the girl’s 100 freestyle.
  • Justin Reed placed 3rd in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke. He qualified for the state meet in 100 butterfly.
  • Logan McFadden placed 3rd in the 200IM and 2nd in the 500 freestyle.  He qualified for the state meet in both events.
  • Rohit Kandala placed 24th in the 200 freestyle and 10th in the 100 backstroke.
  • The men’s 200 medley relay placed 7th, the men’s 200 freestyle relay placed 16th, and the men’s 400 freestyle relay placed 8th.
  • The women’s 400 freestyle relay placed 14th.

Congratulations to Justin Reed and Logan McFadden for qualifying for the PIAA State Swimming Championships!  The meet will take place at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA on Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 16, 2017.
