San Diego Chargers Move to Los Angeles: The San Diego Chargers announced on Thursday that after spending 55 years in San Diego the team will return to Los Angeles, where they spent their inaugural year in 1960 before moving to their current location in San Diego in 1961. Dean Spanos, the chairman for the Chargers, has been looking for a new stadium for the team to reside, and it looks like L.A. might be the best place to do so. The Rams also happened to move to L.A. last year as well, so with the Chargers coming to town L.A. will be gaining a second NFL team. However with a new team means a new stadium, so it is uncertain if the Chargers are to go to L.A. where the team would play its home games. By leaving behind the town of San Diego, the team will be leaving behind a 55-year-old fan base that is dedicated to the team. Efforts were made by the Mayor of San Diego, saying that they would build the team a new stadium which was declined. For more information about the Chargers move click here.
