It’s no secret that the current presidential election is seen as a joke. Between improper grammar, name calling and temper tantrums, the debates have received a lot of comical backlash from social media. The only thing funnier than Donald Trump’s facial expressions are some of the most ridiculous quotes of the night.screenshot-2016-10-20-at-8-29-55-am Who’s the puppet?

Vladimir Putin was a large topic in the debate, particularly who he would want as the president. Trump had stated that Clinton would get no respect from Putin because he does not like her, to which Clinton responded by saying that the only reason Putin would want Trump as president is because he would use him like a puppet. Trump defended himself with a very riveting argument of “No puppet. You’re the puppet.” You can tell he really put a lot of thought into that one.

Hombres?

Border control and building a wall are some of the most talked about topics in this election. Trump had set off to a good start when he claimed he would make trade deals with Mexico “very much better.” However, it only got better from there when he brushed up on his Spanish and said he was going to deport all of the “very bad hombres” that live in this country. It’s very nice that he’s trying to reach out to the Spanish speaking community.

It’s rigged.screenshot-2016-10-24-at-10-54-38-am

Trump has made recent claims that if Clinton were to win this election, that means it is rigged. Clinton questions this topic when she mentioned that every time his television show The Apprentice did not win an Emmy, he would claim the same thing. Trump interrupts her statement with “shoud’a gotten it.” Truly a worthwhile, educated statement. Clinton was so amazed by the comment that she just looked into the camera like she was on an episode of The Office.

Respect for Women?

Many question how much Trump actually respects women. In recent events, women havscreenshot-2016-10-20-at-8-29-01-ame come forward saying that they have been harassed by him in the past, along with the fact that his supporters had started a trend on Twitter to repeal the 15th amendment, in which women are given the right to vote. When this issue was talked about in the debate, Trumps’ first statement was “no one has more respect for women than I do.” The crowd actually had to be quieted because they were laughing so hard at the statement.

“Bigly”? Or “Big League”?

When referencing the trouble with ISIS, Trump was talking about how America needs to start fighting back. He claimed that we can not lose again and that we need to start winning. However, there is a lot of question behind what word he actually used to describe it. Trump stated, “We’re going to start winning and we’re going to win (bigly or big league).” People have been debating which wording he actually used, but for comedy’s sake, it’s funnier to think he actually used the word “bigly”.
