Last year, only high school students had Chromebooks.

Now this year, middle school students get them too.

Students at Southern Middle School each received a Chromebook as part of the school’s one-to-one initiative.

Middle school principal Dr. Len Reppert says the middle school wanted to follow the high school and allow middle school students to be better prepared for going into 9th grade.

Reppert wants the students to engage more in their class, and he would like them to use the Chromebooks after school so everyone has an equal amount of learning resources.

In the past, middle school students would all have to share technology, but now each student has their own Chromebook to use.
