There are many students in this school that excel at photography and convey feelings through the pictures they capture.  One of these students is junior Sara Cerreta.  Cerreta has been involved in photography for about two years and the reason she picked up an interest in it is because of her father.  “My Dad is a photographer, and he…influenced me because he takes pictures of every single thing I do,” Cerreta said.  However, she does not want to be a photographer.  “No, [I don’t plan to pursue it],” said Cerreta.  “Maybe for an activity or something to do as a hobby but definitely not for a career…it’s just not something I’m really interested in to do all the time.”   Another student that enjoys photography is senior Alex Miller.  He has been taking pictures for about a year.  He also got involved in photography because of his father.  “My dad takes pictures a lot…at sporting events,” said Miller. “I…messed around with his camera and figured it out.”  He also just wants to keep photography as a hobby.  He is more interested in pursuing a career in building cars.  Miller’s favorite part about taking pictures is discovering the perfect scene to photograph.  “[I like] trying to find an interesting subject matter that matches the topic that you’re shooting for,” Miller said.

Junior Daniel Chambers is another student at Susky interested in photography.  Chambers has been involved in photography for about three years and a family member is the reason he became interested.  “My aunt got me involved in [photography],” Chambers said.  Chambers plans on staying with photography after high school as a second job.  Sophomore Madison Kroner likes to take pictures, too.  She has started to show an interest in photography this year when she took Intro. to Photography.  “My brother took [the class] before me and said it was really fun,” said Kroner. “So I figured I’d try.”  She enjoys the different perspectives and angles she finds when taking pictures of her subject.  “I like being able to look at life differently when I have the camera, taking different angles and perspectives that I never would have,” said Kroner.  She plans on keeping photography as a hobby but not a main job.  In addition, senior Morrigan Rassa is fond of taking pictures.  “I’ve been involved in photography for as long as I can remember,” reflected Rassa.  Rassa began taking pictures whenever she was able to experiment with a camera and wants to continue with it after high school as a possible second job.  “[My favorite part is] capturing beautiful photos and beautiful pieces of artwork,” said Rassa.  “Just capturing things in a different point of view that people might not be able to see.”
